Sunday, June 24th
Prague

A walking tour of the Jewish quarter in the morning

Waiting to go into the Jewish synagogue,
a little singing helps to pass the time, so...

...it was a good moment to rehearse the words
to "the Czech song"

Jewish cemetery

Lunch at the Metropolitan House, a beautiful Art Nouveau building

With Martina, one of our Prague guides,
all smiles after lunch!

A couple of paparazzi on the metro escalator

The afternoon was devoted to rest in the hotel—
then rehearsal at the Museum of Music,
(a refurbished building with a fascinating collection of musical instruments
and a spectacular acoustic)
followed by a wonderful concert there
with Pueri Gaudete, a Czech boychoir

Dinner at a fun Czech restaurant featured—(let's hear it, girls!)
—DUMPLINGS!

Prague to Dresden

Our final look at Prague before we leave for Dresden
is a moment inside the beautiful St. Vitus Cathedral
at the Prague Palace

St. Vitus rose window

And "Lift Thine Eyes" has never sounded more beautiful
than it did in this magnificent Cathedral

Grabbing some snacks at the Prague train station

Waiting for the train to Dresden

"Yes, this is all MY luggage!"

Arriving in Dresden, we have a short walking tour
under "moody" skies

And we escaped the sudden downpour
by chilling at the Frauenkirche Square Galeria

waiting for the carillon to play "Summer" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons

lunch

A wonderful lunch at the charming underground Sophienkirche restaurant

After lunch we ducked in to see the interior of the beautiful Frauenkirche,
which was restored stone by stone (each in its original place)
after the WWII bombing—
the restoration took twenty years and was just completed in 2005

Pre-concert dinner (wonderful food prepared by our hosts)
with our Dresden choir friends

Our concert venue -- St. Martin's church

Jodi gets the girls ready to line up

Pennsylvania Girlchoir and Dresden choir singing Sound the Trumpet

The girls' music soared in this beautiful church

Mi'kmaq was truly magical in this glorious resonant space —
here are the girls chanting and creating the sounds of the Canadian desert
from the balcony

A rainbow after the concert—
a perfect ending to a glorious evening!
