The 2006 PG Tour continues!
Day 9: Thursday, July 6
We're in Vancouver!
The girls sang for a noon service
at the Christ Church Cathedral.

After lunch, some really cool sights to see

A fine view featuring four friends

J flashes her signature grin while admiring the Lion's Gate Bridge

On to Capilano Provincial Park and its famous swinging bridge

First, a little of the area's history
offered by Miss Malcolm, our "Victorian" guide, and a First Nations interpreter

The girls are beguiled by a First Nations trickster

We all braved the Capilano Swinging Bridge --
some tripping cheerfully across,
some
of us clinging to the railings --
but all triumphant on arrival.

Some of these trees are over 500 years old,
and more than 300 feet tall...

Sky-high smiles WAY up in the tree tops

S in deep thought --
is she
contemplating the return trip across the swinging bridge?

Dinner was a fabulous First Nations feast
featuring grilled salmon and wild rice,
with berries and ice cream for dessert -- yum!
PG girls are always perfectly and elegantly groomed,
right down to their fingertips

Day 10: Friday, July 7
We spent the morning at the Museum of Anthropology.

An amazing view featuring a story pole.

Another spectacular view of a story pole --
the crew posing in front of it could tell you a few interesting stories, too.
Lunch at the Granville Market.
We highly recommend the coffee.
And the gelato.
(But who's that guy behind Mark?)

Dinner in the charming little town of Lynden,
then "home" to Bellingham
to meet our host families
and get some rest
before the Saturday concert.

Day 11: Saturday, July 8
One Night Only!!
Pennsylvania Girlchoir in Concert!

Showing enormous focus during rehearsal...
or are they just really, really tired?

It was a spectacular concert!

Afterwards the girls smile...

...each in her own special way...
Mark surprised everyone with a CD of songs from recent live performances
-- one for each girl!
This was extremely cool.
Day 12: Sunday, July 9
The choir participated in the Sunday service
at UCC Bellingham.
And then the girls were treated to a wonderful lunch
at the church.

Singing goodbye to our friends at the Bellingham UCC Church
May the road rise to meet you...

...and God keep you in the palm of his hand.

Back in Seattle, we visited the Space Needle...
...and had an awesome time at The Experience Music Project.
Tonight was our final dinner together.
Somehow things got a little silly...
Happy Birthday to Mark, our way groovy music director!

The Chaps (who are almost as groovy),
with PG's extremely wonderful and talented Associate Conductor Jodi
and of course the Amazing Duck...
Mark

Happy girls after our final celebratory dinner!

Day 13: Monday, July 10
We're on our way home to Philadelphia! See you tonight!
