About the Pennsylvania Girlchoir

Bios of the Music Staff

Founded in the fall of 2004, the Pennsylvania Girlchoir has grown to over one hundred girls from four counties in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Under the direction of Music Director Mark Anderson and Associate Music Director Jodi Bohr, the organization consists of four choirs: Schola Cantorum, Kantorei, Troubadours and Trouvères, and Motet.

As a member of the Commonwealth Youthchoir organization, the Pennsylvania Girlchoir shares its mission: to offer excellent choral music education and performance opportunities to singers from diverse economic and racial-ethnic backgrounds, while nurturing leadership skills, building character and encouraging self-discipline.

The brother choir of the Pennsylvania Girlchoir is the Keystone State Boychoir.
